Well, to start, Eva gained roughly 1 lb since her hospitalization 2 weeks ago. That was very impressive. We arrived and they did an x-ray first. Then her vitals were taken, which were GREAT! Then the doctor came and looked at her and was pleased with her weight and her energy. She appeared to be in perfect condition for surgery, which he was planning on for Thursday (yes, this Thursday! Surprise us too!)! Then the x-ray came and showed something in her lungs, in the right upper lobe. She has no symptoms of anything wrong, so he was pretty baffled by what it could be. He listed a few possibilities. So, to make a long story short. He is thinking of playing it on the safe side and wait 2 weeks and repeat the x-ray on the 16th. If that comes back better than the 19th is the new date for surgery. The lung consolidation has been on all her x-rays since August, so they may end up having to work around it in the long run.
5 Josiah moments November 2, 2009
Moment 1. Josiah, mommy and Eva were playing in the living room and daddy stated he was going to check the meat on the grill. Mommy then said to Josiah “Daddy is the “grill master.” Josiah replied “Mommy too! Baby Lise too!”
Moment 2. Josiah, coming to sit on mommy’s lap. “Mommy, I need to talk to you.” Mommy replied, “What to you need to talk to me about?”
“I need to talk to you about Jesus.”
Surprised, “What about him?”
“He need to be my Jesus.”
Moment 3. Mommy and Josiah working on a letter to uncle Nate, who in at Basic Training for the National Guard. Mommy asked “What should we write Nate about?”
Without Hesitation, “Jesus!”
Moment 4. The whole family eating dinner, “Mommy, I drink my milk. I get BIG like daddy and Baby Eva!”
Moment 5. Eva and mommy waiting in the car as daddy buckles in Josiah. Josiah is singing at the top of his lungs in unintelligible words. Then the word “Jesus” becomes discernable and mommy and daddy listen closely for what follows.
“I love you!”
Dr. Appointment November 2, 2009
Today is Eva’s appointment with her surgeon. We are hoping to find out the surgery date today! The appointment is at 4 PM, so I will try and let you all know ASAP.
