Josiah, Jim and I were sitting on the couch and talking about the baby. Here is how it went down:
D: “Where’s Josiah’s baby?”
J: pats his belly, “belly!”
M: “Who’s belly?”
J: pats mom’s belly, “ma”
M: “What should we call the baby?”
J: slowly and carefully so mommy doesn’t mess this up, “BABY”
Josiah did a very good job of being slow, obvious and carefully pronouncing the word that it was challenging to keep a straight face since he was so serious about it. I felt like the 1 year old and he the authority because he had the “How can you be so stupid?” attitude.
