We went out to eat on Saturday night, due to my lack of planning a dinner, and as usual Jim and I ordered water while Josiah had his sippy cup of juice. Our waitress was filling up our waters when Josiah all of a sudden handed his cup to her as if to say “me too!” From that moment on she was wrapped around his finger!

Last night Jim and Josiah got their hair cut. Josiah really freaked out to have the buzzer touching or even coming close to his head. So, Jim and I grabbed a mirror and held it up so he could see what mommy was doing to him. When it was Jim’s turn for a hair cut Josiah was allowed to hold the mirror. After a minute of looking at the baby Josiah started dancing with the baby in the mirror. He was very excited to be playing with the little boy in the mirror.

I was so touched today when Josiah came up with a blanket and put it on me. I thought “how sweet. he is taking care of his momma.” This only lasted 10 seconds at best. I quickly learned that I was only suppose to hold the blanket and then cover up Josiah. He wanted me to hold the blanket so he could sit.

Josiah has just really taking off in communicating. He points to his steaming food and says “hot” and then blows on them. The other day Jim was changing his diaper at a fast food restaurant and the changing spot was right next to automatic sensor hand dryers. Josiah’s foot set off the sensor and it blew the air on his foot and he just looked up at Jim and said “hot.” Now whenever you ask him about something being cold he will look at you and say “brr”! HE IS GROWING UP SO FAST!

Josiah has been spinning! He will spin in circles and sometimes even sing! He thinks it is funny. We think it is funny and adorable.

Jim’s boss, Ann, asked him yesterday to consider training to be her “back up” for when she is on vacation! This is what we were hoping for! We are hoping that this would help in him being considered for a promotion. This position that we are hoping for should allow him to be able to work from home a day or two a week!

Every time Josiah sits on the potty chair he gets to read a Dr. Seuss book. He reads 1 Fish 2 Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. There is a page where the first three words are the bump bump bump. Every time we turn to that page Josiah gets really excited and says out loud “bu bu bu”!
