We just found out we have been blessed with another baby! Baby Baxa is due June 20th!

No, the title isn’t my name and Jim’s name. Josiah is going through this phase where everything is “Ma” (even Jim is called mama) or “Ba” (meaning ball). It has made some things confusing, but Josiah gives gestures that communicate very well. It is still pretty funny though.

FLASHBACK
Recently I was packing for a trip and I pulled out Josiah’s suitcase. I turn around to see Josiah packing for himself. Instead of the many outfits I set out he was packing his stuffed animals! There, in the suitcase, was his puppy and penguin! Josiah looked mighty proud of himself. But after a minute of staring at the suitcase he took out the puppy and looked and the penguin still in the suitcase and gave this look of “there, that is right!” It was so precious! I wish I took a picture. *sigh*

Josiah said his first phrase yesterday! Jim was taking him upstairs to change his diaper and Josiah waved at me and said “bye mom”!!!!! It was SO precious!
date night October 20, 2007
Well, it has been a busy week. On Monday it was relaxing, Tuesday was evangelism, Wednesday was a parenting class at church and my family coming into town, Thursday was date night, Friday was work night and tomorrow is going to be our church conference. Wow, I didn’t even say it and I feel out of breath! Then there is next week! Monday is cleaning, Tuesday is evangelism, Wednesday is going to see Jim’s family… the busyness never ends!
Josiah is enjoying having a lot of attention from my family. He really misses have Brittany around. She will carry him around all day if he pushed her.
Jim and I went on a date on Thursday and for the first time, Josiah didn’t have grandma or one of his aunts as his babysitter! No family, we actually hired a babysitter! Josiah picked her out this summer and so when it came time to pick one our decision was easy. Josiah spent the evening with Kaylin and enjoyed himself so much that he was wanting to stay and not come home with us! I will admit I (and maybe Jim as well) had mixed feelings about this. We want Josiah to love family time, but we also want to make sure that we have the best babysitter for him. So it looks like Josiah approved of Kaylin and Jim approved of a date at an Indian restaurant. Both guys happy in one night, so that made my night.
settled October 15, 2007
I am glad this week is starting off to be settled… for the moment anyway. Last week my phone went through the laundry! So we spent a good part of the week trying to get a new phone and last night the Lord blessed us with getting 3 phones on Ebay for the price of 1!!!
Josiah is walking like CrAzY! He can walk from one end of the house to the other all by himself!!! Last night he was walking at church and some people were shocked at how much he was walking! He would just walk and laugh and I can just see him prepare to start to run. Thankfully he is still wobbly so I think we have a little time before he runs, but not much longer!
Jim has been blessed with an award this past week. He received the “Employee of the Quarter.” He can home and showed me and he looked very surprised. I love my husband! He told me “I am just doing my job to the best of my ability because God commands I work hard, I didn’t try to give this. God has been blessing my work! He is GOOD!” He also got a cake which we took to Bible study, but only after I took of his name after the congratulations written on it. Jim didn’t want anyone to think he was showing off or being prideful. So we took off the name.

Josiah’s birthday is in 4 weeks! Where has the time gone!? We are trying to decide what we will be doing.
Josiah is walking around like crazy. We have counted as many as 20 steps at a time. He is mighty proud of himself. He loves to push the cart around the store! The store employees think he is absolutely adorable. I think it is too. The stands at the back of the cart and pushes right in front of me. He loves pushing it. He giggles the whole time.

Josiah is starting to sleep longer at night. Lately, he goes to bed at 8 and doesn’t wake up until 6:30 – 7:00. 11 hours!!!!
Josiah is also 11 months old today!! NNOOO! One month left and our little boy is one year old! He has grown up so fast!

Josiah has learned a new word! He can now say “ball.” He is such a smart little boy! He only says less than 5 words, but he knows a lot more! He knows what I mean when I say certain things.
He is also walking very well. He can take 6 steps by himself and that has been steadily climbing daily! I am sure he will be walking here soon.
