We are back from WI. We went to go see Jim’s family again. It was nice to watch Josiah cling to his grandma. This was the first time I actually saw his favor her over either Jim or I. It was great to see him bond with her and watch him fall in love with his grandma. She runs a in-home daycare, so she didn’t get as much time as she wanted, but every moment counts.

We are currently in Milwaukee and Josiah is having a blast with his grandma and the rest of the gang. So, I will write more after we get back from the trip!
Southwest March 21, 2007
To anyone who reads this blog,
Never buy Southwest Airline tickets!! I just discovered today that they give money to the Dallas Gay Pride Parade! After watching a video on the parade I would strongly recommend to anyone and everyone not to buy from this airline and therefore cutting back on the money they give to this filthy lifestyle. The video was SO BAD I can’t, in good conscience, put it up… even if I had a warning. I will just say it was pretty much like what you would expect from something like a … porn movie. Disgusting and a slap in our Creator’s face!
solid March 19, 2007
Josiah started solids this week. : ( We were going to try and wait until next week, but the poor boy was starting to act like I was starving him to death. So, I rather let him eat then think that he wasn’t getting all the food he needed. He is slowly adjusting to it, but he didn’t like it at first. He would get a sour look on his face and flinch his whole body every time Jim or I rough the spoon to his mouth. Now he accepts it and takes it. He still isn’t a huge fan, but at least it is something.
Josiah and I have been enjoying his daddy recently. Jim has been able to consistently only work half of Tuesdays. This has been a huge blessing to our family. Tuesday are evangelism nights and now we get some play time on Tuesdays! Jim has only been able to go because it is too cold to take a baby. Also, it is a little challenging because Josiah still wants to eat every two hours. *sigh* But it is nice to have Jim with us and we can go for walks or just hang out as a family.
God has been very gracious to us this past week, even though we had a few trials that we are still going through. Jim’s car broke down… again. But what is new? Our dishwasher broke. Now we are contemplating having to buy a new one. YIKES! And I had a … hard thing to do this week to a dear friend, which I never, ever want to do again, Lord-willing! But, God used these things to help us grow individually and as a couple. Josiah really didn’t learn anything as far as I could tell through them. But he did learn that we love watching him spit!

Hey Everyone!
I just wanted to let you know that there are new photos at the photo link on the right side of the screen underneath “Links.”
doing well March 10, 2007
Well, Josiah is officially 4 months old today! I am excited and sad all at the same time. I am excited that he is growing up really strong, but I am also sad that he isn’t the little man that he once was. But he is still my little man!
We recently started doing research on when to start him on solids. 4-6 months is what we are told is the guideline, however the signs that he is ready are almost fulfilled. He has all of them except one… teething. Everything else he already does. (signs: holding up head, wanting more food after milk, want your food… that kind of thing) He already meets the weight requirement, but I don’t want to start him too early. If I do then my poor boy will get digestive problems! I think I will do a compromise and start cereal after we come back from Jim’s parent’s place. He won’t be too little, hopefully, but he will also start eating more.
I need to go. People are coming for a Bible study at our place and they are arriving now!
Living Grace March 7, 2007
Living Grace
by Jeremiah Dyke, a puritan, written to other Christians
It is a point that concerns us at all times to look to the growth of our grace, as that which much evidences the truth of it. For where there is no growth of grace there is no truth of grace. True grace is growing grace. There is a growing in knowledge (2 Pet. 3.18), a growing in wisdom (Luke 2.40), and a growing in faith (2 Thess. 1.3). All true grace grows. There are counterfeit and false graces, and this is the main thing that differentiates between true and counterfeit ones: true grace grows, counterfeit grace grows not. There us a great deal of difference between a true tree and a pictured tree, between a true child and the statue or image of a child. A true child grows, but the image grows not – it is no taller or bigger at a hundred years old then it was the first day it was made. Where there is truth of grace, there is life of grace, and life will put forth itself and cause a growth, as we see in living trees, and living children that are not yet come to their full growth – they grow because they live. Psalm 92.12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
God’s wisdom March 3, 2007
We are finally finished with our wood flooring!!! Tonight we had a family night… kind of.
We had a blizzard on Thursday, so Jim was only able to work half of a day that day. Since he works in geriatrics he has certain patients that need to be seen, otherwise medicare won’t cover therapy. So, Jim was gone a total of 12 hours today. Because of this our family night was limited, but it was something.
The flooring took a total of 8 days of working! It is very nice to be all done. I am grateful that the Lord provided the means for us to buy the flooring and taught us the patience to put it in. It is always nice to look back and see what God teaches you.
I remember when I miscarried my first baby. It was nice to see how God taught me that He is the sustainer of life, not me. It was hard to see my baby on that ultrasound machine not moving and without a heartbeat, but I know that God’s plan was far better than mine. Because I lost my first I have a sweet little boy to hold now. This little boys who smiles at me when I come to get him out of his crib in the morning, who loves to smile and laugh with others, who adores his father greatly, who hears the garage door opens and knows that his dad is coming to play with him… I could go on for a while, but that might get tiring to read after a while. Well, it is getting late and I try to make sure that I don’t make these posts too long so everyone doesn’t spend so much of the precious time God gives.
